I was impressed when I got the camera and saw the size! Very little compared to my old JVC from 10 years ago. Quick start works great! And he uses cheaper camcorder tapes. People should be aware that the USB connection is only for transferring photos stored on the card (use PC mode). USB is also for a webcam (use tape recording mode) or if you just want to transfer video (no audio) to a computer (use tape playback mode). A 128 MB card is suitable for photos. Resolution less than 1 MPix (600X800). If you want to use full video/audio transmission to your computer, make sure you have a firmware connection (IEEE 1394 or I.Link). As for the software, you can use the standard Windows or buy Pinacle or another related one without having to wait long for Panasonic (if you request this application). This camera records excellently with good quality during the day, but needs a little light improvement for evenings and nights. Panasonic should think twice about placing ports on the following cameras, they're kind of out of reach. I like this one, I did a lot of searching and comparing before buying this one, others don't have the same capabilities or are expensive. This works great (in good light), fast and efficient.
