Great for the patient and civilized

This camcorder is just amazing. Although I don't think I would spend a lot of money on it. While it works great for recording and playback, minimal software is available (I didn't get it) and it took me a while to figure out how to get it on my computer to burn to DVD. Although I only paid $195 for this camera which also came with a brand new camcorder case and extra battery. I wish I had spent the extra money to invest in a DVD camcorder. But if you're willing to take the time to learn how to…

A good video camera for a good boy

The video camera is good but not great. Of course it's not expensive, but for the money you can find much better ones on ebay. 1/6 inch CCD is average for this price range. It has no microphone input. But it lasts long enough on battery, has acceptable quality of light when I use two or more lights. For my film, which is a musical. You notice that frames with fast sequences appear jagged and not smooth. It should have been fixed in the post that if you're only paying £250 for this camera you…

good camera BUT THE SOFTWARE IS NOT INCLUDED

I would recommend the camera's video quality and well placed controls although there was an inconvenience with the camera's external light button which would be better On placed on the outside of the camera rather than inside where the LCD panel closes, forcing you to open it every time you want to activate the light and some useful controls when trying to use the viewfinder alone for maximum to use battery usage. The main disadvantage of this model is the lack of any editing software and USB…

Good DV camera suitable for camcorders

I was happy with all aspects of this camera except for one thing: the night mode is not infrared like some other cameras where the images come out with a greenish tint , but you don't lose any framerate. When shooting at night with this camera (MagicPix) the shutter speed is MUCH slower so the video is very choppy even with a tripod. The built-in LED backlight works in boost mode, but only over short distances. Otherwise this camera is great. It plugged directly into my FireWire card, and Adobe

Great digital camcorder!

This Panasonic digital camcorder has a built-in (fluorescent) "light" that allows you to take photos/videos in the dark, which is almost impossible with all other major electronics manufacturers (e.g. Sony). is available ). The digital screen that allows you to watch what you're shooting/recording (without having to put your eyes in the "viewfinder" lens like they used to) is very handy and rotates (I think) so that the person / the people who is being filmed let the screen see and what the…

Nice style good performance

I was impressed when I got the camera and saw the size! Very little compared to my old JVC from 10 years ago. Quick start works great! And he uses cheaper camcorder tapes. People should be aware that the USB connection is only for transferring photos stored on the card (use PC mode). USB is also for a webcam (use tape recording mode) or if you just want to transfer video (no audio) to a computer (use tape playback mode). A 128 MB card is suitable for photos. Resolution less than 1 MPix…

Great little camera

I bought this camera after many problems with Sony. Even though it's only 4 years old, my Sony has been repaired 3 times and broke again. I paid a lot of money for my Sony and was very dissatisfied with it. So I decided against Sony with this purchase. Maybe I just had bad luck with them because I know they usually make good products. But to be on the safe side, we decided to use a different brand. I did a lot of research online for different camcorders. I also did a lot of research in the…

6 years with Palmcorder

After 6 years with Palmcorder I just bought a second one for a dual camera setup (both work from different angles as I shoot martial arts training videos). For those new to digital camcorders I think this is a great camera. Of course, for those who are intermediate to advanced, you already know that you'll want to spend a little more for a bigger and better camera that suits your needs. The palm corder takes good video, but you need extra lighting. They say it's good in low light, but…
