Generates a lot of heat, which can lead to a breakdown. SD

I used this with a good 256gb micro sd card from Sandisk and immediately found it to be hot to the touch after a very short use. Prolonged use made it almost scalding. After a few sessions of really heavy use, my Sandisk card died. Did the heat kill her? Impossible to know but I can say I will never use any of them again. I had two, both are in the trash now. I can afford new adapters. I can't afford to buy large capacity Micro SD cards!
