I wouldn't have bought it if I had seen it beforehand

So. This has nothing to do with a way to put it in a cage. There is no way to attach anything to it unless you buy something else to install. He can't sit on the floor because he literally looks like a basket like he wouldn't sit on his side with a hole in his side. It is really too big for the canary shown in the photo.
