Review on Best ROKR Puzzle Mechanical Model Wooden Toy for Mechanical Games by Adam Quintana

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well but has some errors

It took about eight hours to assemble. The guide is wonderful! If you can follow Lego's instructions, you can build this. Almost all of the small bars (used for edging) broke with use, but they all held up perfectly. I ended up gluing the three links together for extra security, but the structure would probably be fine if I didn't. Sometimes the gears are a little buggy. I have to turn the crank "just like that" otherwise the gears will jam. I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact problem to fix it, but this works 100% if I'm not careful how I turn the crank. thin sheet of plywood. Due to deformation, the balls tend to get stuck at the top of this multi-lane ramp. So, in a way, it's fun to watch the balls bounce back until they're finally pushed forward. I personally love the little imperfections in the gears and wood and the fact that this car isn't always perfect. Sometimes the ball randomly bounces along the track. This works 98% of the time so there is no irritation. This is NOT a children's toy. This is a fragile machine with fragile parts. If you want something that can never be messed up and roughed up, buy a plastic or wooden set of children's marble runs (which I also own and still love as an adult).

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • A few little things
