Ordered this as a Christmas present for my 15 year old daughter. She hits at about 50 mph, give or take. I bought it to use in the garage mainly during the winter months so she can have a good time when she's not in archives class. So she throws herself at him, probably from a distance of 10-15 feet. Its only purpose is to protect the garage door from damage. It easily achieved that goal and was an excellent purchase. A strike zone grid can be useful in normal outdoor conditions at the correct pitch, but is not available in a garage. Pros: - Easy assembly - Great looks - Holds up very well - Big cons: - So far I don't have any cons at the moment, anyway I find the red plastic side pieces that slide over the bars (you can see them in the picture - they have one inscription) can eventually break. If not, that's great, but the quality doesn't seem to be that great on them. Again, this isn't currently a problem, but if I had to guess which would come first, it would. Regardless of the cons mentioned above, I still recommend it.
