I had to return them. There are a few things to keep in mind when considering buying one. The lid opens and closes with a small light spring. I don't know how well it will hold up as it seems fragile. Also, it's not strong enough to fully close the lids every time. They are 2 3/4 inches, not 3 inches. I'm not picky, but they ended up being too small for what I wanted.3. If you're using anything other than finely ground Morton's salt, the holes won't be large enough for the salt to pass through. I use finely ground Himalayan salt and nothing has leaked through the holes.
