I hand washed inside out in cold water with SOAK leave-in soap and rinsed in cold water with a few drops of conditioner as instructed. I also wrung it out with a rolled towel as recommended, shook it and laid it on a wood dryer to dry. It washed well, retained its shine and barely wrinkled when I turned it inside out and placed it on my pillow. It's comfortable to sleep on, but I can't think of anything special. I only slept on it for three nights. It doesn't seem to make a difference for my hair or facial skin at the moment, but I should note that I wear a c-pap face mask when I sleep. Good investment for the price. I have never slept on a silk pillowcase and am curious how it compares to the more expensive ones.
