The lights work simply and the remote helps even more. Now, the main complaint is getting the timer to work. I got mine to work tonight by pressing one of the black dots on the far right of my remote. The lights are on and I chose the one nearest the top and held it until the lights flashed off and then back on. That is the 2hr setting. Now if you have fiddled with your remote like i did you may have the timer set to off. Let them run 2 hrs and see if they power off. If not Press and hold that button one time until the lights blink. I then powere off the lights and powered them on. 2hrs later the lights clicked off on their own. Your individual lights may be a bit different than mine but hope this helps.Robert
