I've had other compression massagers before so I knew what to expect. This SHINE WELL model does not give the same results as my previous machines. The performance is low. With my previous massage devices, the feeling is similar to measuring blood pressure. There is heavy compression followed by release. Sometimes compression and relaxation are longer or shorter, giving the effect of a massage. There are multiple settings and intensities, and some devices have heat. It is very comfortable and ideal for anyone suffering from circulatory problems or sore muscles/exercise fatigue. This device does not work that way at all. I'm a 5'4" female and weigh 155 pounds. I put the massagers on and kept 3 fingers between the massager and my feet. Even on the highest setting I didn't feel any compression at all. The velcro is as firm as it gets goes around my legs and I could feel the compression but it wasn't firm enough to feel good let alone help my aching muscles.If for some reason your doctor has recommended that you wear compression stockings, this type is Makes the perfect complement to socks and improves blood circulation even better than using socks alone. Choose a different brand, though. Read reviews before ordering to know that you're ordering a device with enough power to really to do something.
