I have been using it for several years. I have a built in Culligan filter that powers my Samsung fridge and due to the low cost of these filters I can swap out both at the same time for less than just the Samsung factory filter. I change the in-line filter first when both ice machines are off. That way, if I run the first gallon of water through the fridge water dispenser before replacing the Water Specialist filter in the fridge, any charcoal particles shaken out of the replacement Culligan filter will be caught by the old Water Specialist filter. I then replace the fridge filter with a new Water Specialist filter and run another gallon through the dispenser. Then turn the ice makers back on. I have never had any of those leaks or smell of aroma in the water. So, for the same or less price than a single Samsung filter, I get double filtered water and only have to change it once a year!
