I took the standard size for my 3 year old and removed most of the filling. We moved her from a cot to a full bed. Their bedding set came with a standard pillowcase, so I looked for a standard size baby pillow, it was pretty much the only option. But it's great since you can customize the loft. The only problem is you don't know where to put all the plaque you're removing. I ended up just tucking it into the pillowcase that came with this pillow. Not ideal, but it will work. Instead, I can move it to a giant mailbox. Daughter loves it, sleeps great! I have not yet tested how it behaves when washing.
