Great sound. Better than the HTD brand speakers I installed in my previous home. I'm not a sound or speaker snob, but I can tell the cheap sounding tin cans from these high quality speakers. I mainly use them to watch 7.1 surround movies. But the music sounds fantastic too. I would recommend them and will likely buy more for other rooms in the house. Installation was easy thanks to the included instructions and template. They are installed in my home theater room on the basement ceiling, with no railings, just in an open cavity between the joists.
