Update 8/24/19: The scent of this cream is subtle and I thought it was faint but after a few uses it really grows on you and is very pleasant. This cream lathers well and is one of the smoothest, smoothest products I have ever shaved. However, no residual smoothness remains, so razors who like to lather once and shave several times across the face may not like it. I have noticed that these creams peel off very easily and if you wipe the foam off with your razor your face will not be very smooth. When using this cream, make sure to lather your face as intended with each pass. One reviewer mentioned that he gave a low rating because he was contacted twice (he called it unwanted blackmail) and I was contacted at the same time. Once to let me know the product has been shipped and a second time to let them know if I'm not entirely satisfied with the product. I name this amazing customer service and that alone tells me this company is here to stay. The more I use this cream the more I feel like I will continue to use this product as I am amazed at how smooth this cream gets while the price remains affordable. I used shaving soap and my friend gave me a sample of Geo F Trumper's sandalwood shaving cream. It smelled great and was very slippery so I decided to buy shaving cream. This product had great reviews and the price was spot on. I received it today and couldn't wait to try it! The smell wasn't actually that strong, and I found that after my second run, almost no smell came out of the bowl. A little touch really goes a long way in producing a good lather which took me 3 passes plus touch up. It provided good cushion and lathered evenly on my face. Protection was above average but it was a little odd that my face wasn't sticky after the pass. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as it cleans well. I would make sure to re-foam any areas where your blades might go through. I would have no problem continuing to use this product, but when it runs out I might buy a full size Geo F Trumpers to try again. The packaging was good and my face felt very soft after shaving. Overall I would recommend this product if you are not very picky because the smell is not that strong.
