I had 3 TYT TH-9800 radios. Two were purchased from Revain and both were returned. The first one I bought from the ham store still works great. Both Revain devices had extremely poor audio quality that could not be resolved. I have a general class license and no matter how the radios were programmed the audio always sounded like it was a few kilohertz out of frequency, pretty much the same as the sideband noise when tuned. As I said, I still have the original unit that I bought and I love it. . So I bought another one to use at the base but after installing the first one it was a nightmare. I returned it to Revain and got another to replace and kept it for over a month to find out why it looked like the one being returned. I got tired of struggling with this and sent the second radio back. I now have an ICOM ID-4100A from a Ham dealer and it works great. Perhaps I should have noted that Revain listed it as a walkie-talkie, which of course it isn't. Save yourself the hassle and buy from a dealer who specializes in working with ham. At least they know we know what we're talking about. Oh, last point; It took almost a month after returning Revain to be told they would refund my money. Funny, I had no problem paying them at all.
