Review on Mario Badescu Deodorant by Jenn Hartman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't like this scent, it got me odor free for 24+ hours

In short this is a magnesium hydroxide based deodorant that works well for me and lasts all day (24+ hours ), no questions. The scent profile reminds me more of a male product. Generally pleasant, not strong. The deodorant glides on gently without gripping the skin. A few years ago I used Mario Badescu skincare products and didn't pay attention (people love it or hate it, I learned that from skincare groups), but I'm always open to trying new things. I have a penchant for aluminum and baking soda free deodorants and was curious to see how this Mario Badescu product compares to all the other brands I've tried. The timing was perfect for this as the tempo jumped into the mid 80's and beyond. It was hot in New York in May. I put it on after the shower and almost forgot. It seems to work just as well as others of its kind. In case you didn't know, it's just a deodorant. These deodorants may contain some sweat absorbers (like tapioca starch), but they are not sweat blockers, i.e. anti-sweat. For this reason, aluminum salt is used as a blocker of the sweat glands. Therefore, if the product does not contain aluminum, there is a high possibility that the sweat will seep through. It doesn't affect me because I'm not a stinker, and while I sweat at a physically active job, my armpits don't seem to sweat (like everywhere else, haha). I keep a traditional aluminum-based deodorant on hand in case I need it (or don't want to bother). Otherwise yes. I love my magnesium hydroxide deodorants. This deodorant works mainly through the use of magnesium hydroxide. If you are too crunchy, you can put some milk of magnesia on it and you have a very good deodorant. Mario Badescu's solid deodorant adds a variety of essential oils to create a fragrance profile, some of which help keep bacteria at bay (which causes bad breath). I'm not sure why they had to add "perfume" when so many scents come from other ingredients. Using tapioca starch can help absorb sweat, but if it doesn't contain aluminum, it won't block sweat glands. I didn't notice any pulling on the skin. Doesn't feel too soft or greasy. Although I can almost always use such products, some people either don't like it or don't like it. To do this, use conventional aluminum-based deodorants and antiperspirants. Otherwise everything is pretty much the same and you will always be disappointed. Now if you're trying to move away from aluminum but don't want to get rid of it completely, use something like this for those days when you're just chilling at home and don't need anything extra. Or during the cold months, etc. If you're normally sensitive (irritating) to baking soda, this formula is good as it uses magnesium hydroxide, which is very soothing and non-irritating. Overall I'm impressed. The smell is okay. Good neutral scent, not too overpowering for me. I probably wouldn't buy it again because of that, but if they have other flavors I might consider it. The smell isn't bad, I just don't want to smell like my husband as it reminds me of men's deodorant. I like more than 4 but less than 5. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. As it got me odor free for 24 hours during a heat wave I give it 5 stars.
