I bought this enclosure for a 2TB Western Digital Blue SSD that I bought at the same time. It took me a while to figure out how to remove the cover from the rest of the case, then insert the SSD, then close the cover and then connect the CC cable, one end to the case and the other to my Windows 10 PC-USB connection C. Very simple. I then had to tell Windows 10 to recognize the drive, which I did with a google search to see what steps to take. I like that there are both blue and red lights on the front of the case: blue is always on to indicate it's connected and red when data is being accessed. I mainly use an SSD card to store huge landscape files for my Prepar3d flight simulator program, which previously almost filled one of my computer's two internal hard drives. I saved the actual program to my computer's internal drive and changed the game settings to look for scenery files on the new external drive. I see no lag in using an external SSD to store and access these files on the go compared to when they were on the computer's internal hard drive. The red light on the case will flash while the game is loading, but observing the red light I found that there is very little access during gameplay. I'm happy.
