This is a unique product. I go to bed with a Diet Coke next to my bed. I knocked them down many times before this product. They stick to flat surfaces with suction cups on the bottom. I don't have a boat so I can't comment on that. This product actually sticks to glass and other flat surfaces. I often reached for my coke and it stuck very well, which was a problem at times. I reached for the drink but I can't because it sticks so well. This can become an annoying problem after a while. I like to keep them in the freezer to keep drinks cold. They work fine but sometimes it's a problem for me. This product takes a little getting used to. I couldn't give it 5 stars but you should see how well it works for you. Order 1 and see how you like it.
