So much negativity. - Cookers, Ovens & Hobs

I love this hob, was so happy to get it! But in the end it was a big disappointment. I got what I paid for. a cheap hob with a couple of big problems in my book. The burner grates are in three pieces, no problem, but the two outer grates are loose. Makes me mad! (This is not caused by damage in transit, this is poor quality control.) Another issue is the height of the handles. If your pan is even above the buttons (which happens fairly often), the lighting clicker will fire even if the button isn't on at all. I need to do some detective work and find out if the gas kicks in. Although I don't think so. Finally, the cool modern look of the bars is terribly impractical. Small pots often try to tip over if they are not "just right" centered on the larger burners. In my opinion, this is a dangerous deficiency. It's only a matter of time before something hot spills over the whole place. I'm hoping to move in in a year or so, but if I decide to stay I'll ditch this thing and invest in a quality cooktop.
