I've had an official Microsoft charger and an OEM replacement, both faulty (one makes a high pitched squeak and the other interferes with the keyboard touchpad). If you're also using this with an iPad USB-C, you've bought this cable and a USB-C power bank that can charge both devices. Still working great after about 3 months - if you use it in place of the standard Surface adapter and cable. Make sure your USB-C charger provides enough power for your laptop/tablet. Until all vendors just use USB-C or a regular plug, this is a good option for reducing the amount of stuff you have to carry around.
