Review on HEAD Racquetball Goggles: Powerzone Shield Anti ๐Ÿ‘“ Fog & Scratch Resistant Eyewear with Adjustable Strap by Max Rosengren

Works very well for those who ALWAYS fog up their glasses

I warm up when I play racquetball. My face gets very red (hot) and sweats a little. Many years ago I bought open plastic frame glasses without lenses after trying many fogged glasses. Fast forward 20 years and I'll be playing again and still wearing open-frame eye protection. I play a lot now and I've noticed that the thick bezels block the view on some shots. Ok, back to regular glasses with lenses. I did quite a bit of research and decided on them because I figured if they didn't work I would give them to my son. I've played twice since then and am very happy to report that I haven't seen any fogging at all. That actually surprised me. Comfortable, excellent transparency and no veil. I am very happy with these glasses. If, like me, you're wondering if it's worth spending money on glasses that claim they won't fog up, give them a try. UPDATE 19.10. Lens. I bought my newest pair from a Head sponsored local pro and he returns them under warranty. I used the previous generation of these glasses, the orange ones, and never had a stress fracture. I just replaced them when the sports band wore out. Also, the left headband loses its connection to the frame and when I put it on my head, that connection often breaks. I insanely glued the last set to make it stay. I'm not being hard on these Googles, but it seems to me that something else has changed besides the color change to green. No problem with multiple sets of oranges for 1.5 years then 3 breaks in 3 months with greens. HEAD: Please explore! One pair will be returned by your local sponsor, but I have another pair that I can send in for evaluation as well. They also had me send two broken pairs to one of their factories for their engineers to look at. I have 10 hours on the first new pair and there are no tears and the left side of the headband stays in place without using glue. Once again I am very satisfied with the product and also with the excellent customer support provided by the head team. UPDATE: I have a second pair of these glasses and will be buying more. The foam at the top of the frame falls apart after many hours of use, causing some sweat to get in my eyes. I can probably add my own foam. Just thinking about it :) The lenses hold up well after a few quick puffs and they did their job without bruising the face or bridge of the nose.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
