Many printers and scanners require shielded cables to operate, especially if the cable is longer than 6 feet. This 10 foot cable connects the document scanner to the PC. PC and scanner work perfectly together. I recently replaced a document scanner and have yet to find a problem with the 10ft cable. In this case I'll take another 10 foot cable with ferrite chokes on each end. Shielding and chokes at each end block EMI and RFI in both directions. Most scanners come with a 6 foot shielded cable fitted with a single ferrite choke at the end of the scanner and they recommend using ONLY the cable provided. But sometimes another 4 feet of cable length is required.
