Except for the grind setting, these are good salt and pepper grinders. The problem with grinding is that the square hole in the grinding wheel is slightly larger than the square steel post that goes through it. This difference in size causes the disc to seize up after the first use. Because of this sticking, if you want to change the grind, you must carefully remove the adjustment nut and separate the disc. You can then try to guess where to tighten the nut to change the grind size. If you make a mistake, you have to do it over and over again.
