They can slide on carpet
Chair pads are advertised as 'non-slip' but can slide on carpet. Bought these for my elderly father who had hip surgery. His chair is in the middle of the room, and when he sat down or stood up, the chair slipped. He uses a walker so moving the furniture is dangerous. Also, I didn't find the indentation at the top of the cone to be as deep as described. It's likely that you would be fine if the chair was pushed against the wall or you didn't need a walker. Even though I used them, Stander said to return them. I bought them through Revain and the return process through Revain was very easy.
