Ok, not really necessary
Got a bit accessory happy after getting my drone, but as in 99% of the places I launch there is a solid surface or a sidewalk, or even the truck tonneau cover, I find myself not using it. Sure if I was launching from grassy fields, but even them the return to home won't hit thr target exactly so you end up moving it around. It is a bit clumsy to fold at first until you get the hang of it, but by the time you do you find it's something you just don't need to take along and not worth the time.
- Reasonably costed & functioning as advertised.
- May be prone to damage from exposure to the elements
