The packaging says 'Made in China' and the pliers say 'Japan Pat' (Japanese design), but the quality is well above average. The pliers are heavy, the springs live, and the tip feels stronger than small-headed pliers (many say they break easily). Can't comment on durability as I only received them today, but as soon as I got my hands on them I knew I liked them. Even the plastic handles are soft and smooth. More importantly, they perfectly match the master cylinder retaining rings on my bike (a 1999 Honda Shadow VLX 600). I even crumpled up a paper towel with brake fluid and was able to clean some hard-to-reach spots with these pliers. Removing circlips without special pliers is tough work. They can damage your parts in hypersensitive areas. You'll scrape the sidewalls with a knife or pickaxe, so don't be surprised if you end up with a leak or a ruff-like part at best. Equally important is how one removes, inserts, or re-inserts the retaining rings. The snap rings need to be a perfect fit so there aren't little gaps around the fork that will definitely give you a headache. Guess what I'm saying, I really like these pliers and they really make working with tuff easier, justifying the price for the time saved and a job well done. I ordered them on Friday and they were at my door on Sunday. If you are reading this GOOFIT send me a pair of 90 degree bent pliers so I can get a matching set! I'll probably order them in the future anyway. These GooFit pliers are amazing. Get them both thanks for the keychain ;)
