handy for extending cords
I was remodeling my office and needed some longer cords. There were many 15-pin MM cables. This made it easy to join two cables together to get a longer one. A VGA output is available on servers and you shouldn't try to upgrade to better graphics. They are rarely used, and if necessary, VGA will do.
