Review on Super Bright 4PCS 578 211-2 212-2 Festoon LED Car Bulbs – 6000K White, 48-EX 3014 Chipsets for Interior Map Dome Door Lights by Jeff Hall

These bulbs are very bright and two of them will light up my 2005 4 door Dodge Ram (same as 2002-2008). The problem is that they don't work correctly on all sockets/applications. I'll explain - my Ram has interior lights, two map lights and a glove box light in the cockpit. They work correctly on overhead lights but not on others. The map backlight does not turn on with the switches, only when the door is open (unacceptable). After searching the internet I found out that this is related to the CAN bus system found in most modern cars. If you google "Use LED with CAN bus system" it will show you. What I did to get them working well enough for now is put an old regular lightbulb in the left map light and an LED in the right one. So when I open the doors, the overhead and map lights come on as intended. If I need a map light I have to turn on the left one (the old bulb) first, and if I want more light then the right one (LED). The glove box LED only lights up when the left map light is also on. I rated these lights 5 stars because they are so damn bright and it's my fault for not realizing I need CAN bus LEDs. I will now check the price of error free CAN bus compatible LEDs.
