NO bang for my buck.

Just because you get a lot doesn't mean it's worth it. My tires were skinny, they still had excess plastic from production that I had to cut off with metal snips.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Protection

Great value for money

I broke a wooden hoop and went in search of a new one and found this one. They're very durable, come in all the sizes you need, and come with extra goodies. What more can you ask for?

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Out of style

Great for hand embroidery

This hoop has a rib that holds the fabric in the hoop to keep it from shifting around as much. The head of the screw seems pretty flimsy, but I've never broken one. But for the price, you can call it a one-off.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • confusing

The pieces fit together so the fabric slips less.

I really like these looms, they have a system of guides that fit inside each other and hold the material in place much better than a standard loom. Sometimes it can be tricky to put on when there are a lot of seams during fitting, but you'll master the technique.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • No mold required

10/10 buy this

Very surprised by this, I wasn't expecting much from Revain vs Michael's but I'm very satisfied. The screw on top is very long and can hold thick stuff, even better there is a lug in the inner hoop that snaps onto the outer hoop meaning it won't slip off no matter how hard you pull will definitely buy it again . Needles are also a nice addition.

Pros
  • handmade
Cons
  • non-automatic

Bold color, a bit cheap

I don't actually embroider in this hoop because few of them can train my fabric enough, but they are great for displaying finished products! The colors are very strong! I had to sand down some of them because the plastic was sticking out and I had to use a screwdriver to tighten them all the way. But I like the shiny, colorful touch they add.

Pros
  • Embroidery
Cons
  • Requires rosette

They are good

Opening and closing to change jobs on a project is a problem. Sometimes the nut will slip out of a certain shaped hole (easy to fix but more hassle than I'd like). It is often tedious trying to evenly match the white inner hoop to the colored outer hoop. I'm not used to locking grooves in my tires, not good on thicker projects. It's reasonable, not amazing. The colors are hideous, but I don't leave projects in the hoop, so it doesn't matter. I miss my old school wooden hoops but then again…

Pros
  • Arts, crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Out of fashion
