I initially liked this NATO strap over its Blue Shark NATO counterpart for the following reasons; The softer material makes it easy to wear over an endless period of time (as if there were nothing but a watch), the colors are beautiful and bright (on mines, the darker gray hid the dirt that usually collects between the weaves). ), and overall it was really good quality. However, the durability of these straps sucks. I don't even have to post a photo of the pitting problem because literally every other customer review that mentions it shows it. Over time, the pin in the strap mechanism will enlarge the hole(s) you use most, resulting in inferior strap appearance and loosening. You will have this problem whether you wear it loose or tight. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to fix this. Adjust thickness, number of fabrics, laminate cover, etc. They claim it's the same soft nylon material, but as someone who works as an engineer in the automotive industry, I can tell you that this belt material just doesn't hold up. Spark plug to car equivalent. It's a real shame as I definitely prefer the feel of these straps to the stiffer Blue Shark straps.
