We bought the suit for ourselves so I can't comment on chemical protection. The small size fits well (with plenty of room for jeans and a sweater/light jacket) for anyone 5ft 0in and above. 5'1" and under 170 lbs. The fabric is cloth-like (I was able to sew with a needle and thread on the chest and sleeves) and not very noisy as we walk around. Good quality overalls and higher value than disposables as we use the saved suits to use again.
