The headlights themselves are perfect for our needs. They are bright enough to illuminate where we placed them. Here's the problem - we live in a VERY sunny part of the country. We have solar panels at home and last year we received a $125 loan! The solar panel on these strings has been in direct sunlight for the past month. Charging only took a few hours. I had to turn off the solar panel, bring it indoors and charge it via USB, and THEN the light stayed on all night until sunrise. Doing this every day was a big headache but I needed light as we have a new puppy that we are training at home. Yesterday I brought the solar panel/battery pack indoors and when I plugged in the USB cable the whole plug broke inside so now I can't use it. I will have to live with only a few hours of light each night and try to get my pup to walk early in the evening or use a flashlight. Kind defeats the purpose of buying these lights. ATTENTION!
