The latex taste lingers for a very long time after the first use...
Hard to get rid of the original latex taste from the bladder, tried to boil my first one...it was a mistake, it melted...It's up to me It's okay to put your hand in and wash with soap, but the latex taste lingers, at least for the first few weeks. But I assume it's harmless...
