If you're reading these reviews you're probably already stuck like me. We made the mistake of buying a fixture that uses these G9 bulbs. As soon as one of the original bulbs burned out after about a year of ownership, I started looking for a replacement and tried a lot. It's a lovely lamp and my wife loves it but so far in the 2-3 years we've owned it I've spent more on changing the damn bulbs than on the lamp itself. This product is a game changer and once I've used up my last spare bulb I'll be replacing the G9 light and avoiding them like the plague going forward. After trying many company replacement bulbs, including brand name varieties made in the USA for $9 a bulb, they are no longer worth the expense or headache. These VSTAR bulbs are probably the worst I've ever tried. As soon as I opened the package, I had the uneasy feeling that this was going to be the cheapest piece of junk I've ever seen. They come in a small light cardboard box with several thin layers of foam inside. The bulbs themselves come in a small, zip-top plastic bag. Our lamp consists of 4 bulbs and of the first 4 I took out of the box, 2 didn't work. I tried 2 more and both caught fire. They are very loose in sockets. Even among the other cheap options I've tried, I've never come across this one. The light output is ok and I expected it based on the product specs listed, although they seem to be a little 'warmer' than incandescent bulbs of the same wattage. and frequency. 120V 40W 2700K The most annoying thing was that a few minutes after installing and switching on, one of the bulbs started to smoke. I didn't notice the other 3, but I turned off the light and pulled them out anyway. once they cool down. Buyers beware - in my case, not only were some defective from the start, the ones I received were potentially dangerous. You will be returned. My biggest recommendation is to stop looking for cheap G9 bulbs and just replace the entire fixture. In the end you will be much happier. If you are stubborn like I have been for a while and want to keep looking for cheap G9 bulbs, please look elsewhere. These are not the lamps you need.
