I use this genuine Jet Performax product for medium to heavy stock removal. It handles both the alignment of the rough cut material and the sizing of the planned material. In the past I've tried using 120 and 150 grit for the first few passes, but the 4/4 cherry bed resulted in burn marks and streaks despite depth and speed adjustments. Now I use 100 grit for the first few passes and then switch to 150 grit for the last few passes on the cherry bed. JET 60-6100 100 grit finished sandpaper 100 grit is also great for the popular and soft 4/4 maple. Having pre-cut sections for mounting on my Performax 16-32 drum sander saves time and ensures a good fit compared to cutting from continuous rolls.
