The b.tan SPF 70 Facial Sunscreen is an excellent sunscreen that protects skin without damaging the delicate ocean reefs. Our family goes to Catalina Island several times a year and enjoy snorkeling near the many reefs to observe the wildlife there. The b.tan sunscreen did a fine job of protecting our faces, and unlike other sunscreens, it was easy to rub in without it leaving a white cast. The sunscreen absorbed well into skin and has a soft coconut scent to it that - for lack of a better word - is powdery scented. It's a scent that is strong enough to smell from a distance, and if you don't want to smell like a tropical drink, you may want to consider a different sunscreen. I personally found the sunscreen was too strong to wear on my face as it started giving me a headache after a while. The rest of the family didn't have this issue, but only the daughter didn't mind wearing the sunscreen all day. I did like how the sunscreen didn't feel greasy or like I had a heavy coating on my skin, and how it didn't leave a greasy cast on my face. The sunscreen didn't cause any type of irritation to our skin, and it definitely did a great job of protecting our skin from getting burned. At the end of the afternoon, no one got burnt and the sunscreen did a great job of protecting our skin as advertised. Overall, if you don't mind the scent of coconut, this is a good reef safe sunscreen that will keep your face from getting burnt.
