Nice brace but it wears out over time and my knee gets overloaded

I've had this brace for about 4 months but use it extensively so I think some wear and tear is to be expected. This brace is great, but after about 3 months it became more difficult to put it back on and make sure the back flaps didn't let the velcro hang down and scratch my leg. Eventually, though, I'll be able to protect him, it's only going to get harder. It also makes climbing stairs a bit more difficult in a corset because it's thick enough to make bending the knee that much more uncomfortable. For those who have to wear it over pants I would like to warn you that I have to wear it over pants at work and have to adjust this at least 4-5 times during my 8 hour shift as without the material it's direct on your skin slips down. What worries me the most is that even when I'm wearing it tight (pants or next to the skin) I've noticed that my knee bends backwards from time to time now, and that's a big part of why I need a twist orthosis. Anyone who has issues with hyperextension should watch as they age to see if they begin to allow hyperextension of the knee. Overall for its price it was an amazing brace that I hope will last me until my stronger medical braces come along. But over time it will start to deteriorate.
