Both the handle and the cap are the same brand, I assembled both exactly according to the instructions provided and the $33 top doesn't fit fully . As you can see from the pictures (sorry for the orientation) when one side of the top is flush with the side of the spring the other side of the top is not. I've done my best to move the panels around so the top fits snugly, but size really does matter. I even measured the sides of the feather and the sides of the tip and found that they were uneven for a considerable length. I'll just do something because repackaging and reshipping is a hassle, but I really expected the top to cost almost as much as the whole pen ($36) and I really expected it to at least fit properly. Very disappointed with the lack of detail processing.
