These pants fit me exactly like the picture in the ad so I didn't post my photos! Yes they are long, be prepared for that. Actually, the stretch is only in the back of the body, and the hips with the knees down are baggy for me (5ft 7in). I would call them low rise for ski pants (not compared to low rise jeans), took a day to get used to but they are snug enough, I had no problems. Also, I took a photo of the inside of the waist, the waist has a fantastic velcro closure. The material is soft enough to be worn solo. It was -3 in Crested Butte and they were perfectly warm. I really appreciate the heel guard, my pants tend to rip at the bottom, I've also attached a picture of this feature. There are 5 pockets; two zips on the front, two velcro on the back with a 5th horizontal zip pocket above the velcro pocket. (Hey Volkom, I wish there was a little shin pocket, I know it's weird, but oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo where there that there is a lot more depth than 5 inches.) Note that all pockets are at least 5 inches deep. Overall I love Volcom clothes because they are so well made, super reinforced seams, great winter pants!
