So I bought this as an alternative to the usual metal and plastic cat carrier you bought for my cat, thinking that hopefully my cat would be more comfortable in this carrier. I asked if it was big enough to carry a 9 pound cat before I bought it and got an affirmative answer. After I put her in her stretcher and saw that there was no extension in the back she had almost no room to move and I immediately felt awful but I knew it was going to be difficult to get her into hers to put traditional stretcher to go to the vet we take an hour so i put her in this stretcher and she was able to open it with her claws but i caught her and was able to close it again and i felt very bad , because it was warm outside and she seemed very warm in it, although I put an ice pack inside, a bottle of cold water and some treats for her to keep her from overheating and apparently the air conditioning in my car was on for her . When I got to the vet they said yes it was a bit small but she was just worried about the car in general but that this carrier is not very pet friendly unless you have a super SUPER cold kitten, which is very small as there is very little room to move. Luckily the vet was able to put her in a regular stretcher and teach me how to make her look more attractive because she will probably never get used to it again.
