Purchased with the oil temp and transmission temp sensors, this sensor is much better than relying on the oil pressure gauge on the dash. However, the sender is the only thing preventing this from being perfect. The VDO type sensor began to fail after 4 months of use and its odd resistance range (3-160 ohms) compared to other sensors means replacements can only be sourced from GlowShift or Prosport. Save yourself the hassle of replacing the warranty transmitter as these are cheap to find. That issue aside, the looks and other features of this sensor (like dimming and color selection) make it quite a steal.
