I bought these headphones because of all the 5 star reviews that seemed legitimate but I'm disappointed that they don't live up to those reviews. The sound quality reproduced by these headphones is acceptable, however, they lack high frequency range and the sound is a bit underwater. Also, to ensure a good seal in the ear canals, I have to insert the eartips backwards (no, nothing unusual in my ears :p) and it was difficult for me to change eartips. Didn't use the volume control but I assume it's ok. In short, those kidneys were overrated. UPDATE: I've been using these headphones for about 6 months now and the left earbud stopped working today. Time to look for another pair.
