No change in skin health but good for preventing sunburn.

Our son has relatively sensitive skin prone to eczema. While he doesn't usually have issues with other sunscreens for sensitive skin, we were happy to test this sunscreen to see if his general skin condition improved when we used a product made especially for him. Here's what we found; Pros: 1. We love that everything is mineral based. The idea of adding chemicals that aren't strictly necessary for your skin is underwhelming and this sunscreen prevents that! It has a nice texture. I don't find it too thick, but it's definitely thicker than other sunscreens we've used.3. There's virtually no odor, which is great for his sensitive skin. I don't even notice the typical sunscreen smell. It is very water repellent. Even after washing our hands with soap once, our son didn't wash it off completely. Because of this, I definitely recommend removing your wedding ring when applying! Disadvantages 1. It is generally poorly absorbed by the skin. It was kind of nice because I could see exactly where it was applied, but the downside was that it looked like a little ghost the whole time. A small price to pay for safe outdoor play.2. I noticed a slight reddening on his skin where the sunscreen was. It wasn't a sunburn as it disappeared inside after a few minutes. I think that's probably because we had to be more aggressive than usual when trying to rub it into the skin. The volume of the bottle will most likely be enough for us for a short time. Since it doesn't rub in well, more product is needed to effectively cover the skin. I estimate that about 7 uses of this vial could be applied to sun exposed skin only (half of legs, feet, arms, neck, face).4. While SPF 30 seems to be good against sunburn for everyday outdoor play, I think all sunscreens for children and babies should have a higher SPF to prevent sunburn at an early age and thus reduce long-term effects. Overall I think this is a great sunscreen and does a good job of preventing sunburn. I think for us personally there are other sunscreens that work just as well and have a higher SPF, but for a child with severe eczema this could be a good alternative. If anything changes with continued use, this review will be updated.
