This is a much better design than the dual fan version I got. It looks smooth and feels almost like an apple product. The biggest improvement is that the strap stays in place so I don't have to constantly readjust the headphones like I did with the old design. The fan blows air in my face. It covers a large area on both sides. The air intake is from the inside. I assume this to improve the appearance. The side part is more like a headphone. There is a rubber pad in the neck area that stays in place much better. The old design is made of hard smooth plastic so it slides everywhere. The airflow is roughly comparable, but since it stays in place and maintains a constant flow of air, it's significantly better than the old one.
