Sounds even better than I thought! I've been watching this speaker since it was first announced. I finally took the plunge and bought it and I'm glad I did. I used to use old Logitech Z680 speakers which sounded good, but the subwoofer was huge and my current setup just didn't have room for 5 speakers and a subwoofer. I dropped the Z680 and went for the Bose Companion 2. They sounded okay for what they were, but lacked any punch and left a lot to be desired. Personally I prefer a good set of speakers over headphones and folks we have a winner here. Not sure what the volume is, but I turned the volume up to just over 40 and it was loud enough to fill the room with sound and had good bass for only a 5 1/4-in -Subwoofer. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but the sound was loud and clear with no audible distortion at higher volumes. The main speaker sits well under my monitor, and the subwoofer is compact enough that I think it fits almost any sound. desk configuration. Setup was pretty easy. The subwoofer has only one cable connecting it to the main speaker. The main speaker connects to the computer with the included USB cable, and the power cord plugs into the wall. Bluetooth for audio. Of course, anyone who buys these speakers is also likely to get them for the beautiful RGB lighting they offer. The Katana comes with a remote control that lets you change volume, tracks, power, and some RGB lighting effects, among other things. You must install the software if you want to use colors and patterns that are not factory installed on the katana. I don't usually write reviews but I LOVE these speakers for my computer setup. I think the price of $300 is a little high and I hope they go down in price as my wife now wants the same set for her computer. If you're hesitant about speakers I say go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
