Not much to say about the hat. Due to the onset of winter I bought it for work. It's warm and looks and fits well. Note, however, that the lettering may appear white. However, it is actually silver. The Sheriff's inscriptions on my SO's uniform are white (no gold pins/inscriptions unless you're brass), just something to keep in mind if the department you work for needs detail. Luckily our uniform consists of gray shirts with black trousers, so I was allowed to wear them. The material quality is above average. It has a nice, thick, two-layer body with a tight knit. Definitely better quality than what you would buy at Wal-Mart and cheaper than buying it and having it sewn.
