I'm a paramotor pilot and I put it on my helmet. In short, they work, but only marginally. The sound of my paramotor is too loud for a headset. I still get a slight ringing in my ears when I fly an hour and take them off after landing. However, I see that this is normal when you are at work. They are not fragile but must be handled with care, especially when attaching a longer antenna. When I'm done with that, I always take off the long antenna to be on the safe side, so that it doesn't break. Anyway, one thing you can do to get rid of the noise is to look for "plug phones". They look like $20 in-ear headphones. The sound quality isn't very good, but they will do their job. Cut the earbuds, connect to the 1mm Molex connectors and plug in where the speakers are currently mounted behind the foam eartip. The speakers behind the ear pads are removable. They are connected by a tiny 1mm Molex connector. If you've ever spliced electrical connectors, you should be fine. If you are a drone pilot building your own drones, this will be a piece of cake.
