Review on Tamrac Stratus 15 Camera Bag by Barb Gordon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good bag, good QPR, not perfect.

Need a camera bag for two DSLRs and some lenses for a trip to Iceland. I searched the web and found this bag. Pros: - Holds two DSLRs with lenses attached and room for a few more lenses and lots of other smaller "things". Well made at first glance, worth the price. constant slipping, and the strap is always twisted or "wrong" after you deflate the bag. maybe it's just me ;) - The front double latches of the top cover are angled inwards, not outwards; odd design and it often takes two hands to loosen/snap these buckles. - Maybe too many small compartments in the front pockets, like film canister holders etc. - The end pockets are a bit crappy with a cardboard lining to keep their shape and the velcro which wears out quickly. With two cameras, lenses and stuff at the top of the inner pocket, CG is up there with that mismatched shoulder strap. I have a 30 year old bag. for a camera/pair, three lenses and stuff I still can't afford, but this Tamrac fits two full cameras.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Some difficulties
