The stock GPS mount takes up a lot of space when the camera is pushed down from the top of the windshield. The power cord also goes into the standard bracket at the top, making up for the situation being worse. This mount fits perfectly on the windscreen and allows you to mount the camera high on the windscreen where it won't be noticeable and the power connection is in a convenient place. For some reason they don't advertise this GPS mount like they do the standard suction cup version. To me, this is the only version of GPS it should be.
