Wow! This stand is built to last and is made from a very durable aluminum alloy. The assembly was quite quick, all necessary hex wrenches and screws were included. There is also a guide that I used for pictures only so I know what goes where. The swivel arm is also made of durable aluminum and holds my iPad well. I also keep my iPad in a silicone case that helps compress the spring clips. I needed this pillow holder on the left side of my bed which also has a wall. To do this, I removed a leg that can be removed. The rest of the legs are fixed. Then stand at an angle to the wall so that one leg is parallel or on the wall. The swing arm position was too far forward when using the friction adjustment pin. The adjustment allows the swing arm to be moved up or down, and since the screw knob fits into a groove on the stand, the swing arm can only be used on the side of the iPad and not closer to the stand with the pull handle screw secured. That was bad for me at first because the hand that was pressed against the bar was facing forward because I'm only using one leg. What I did to make this work great is I removed the jackscrew handle and the sliding threaded piece that fits into the groove that goes up the shaft. With the clamp pin removed, I can rotate my hand on the bar so it points more than 90 degrees and swings freely but with tension. I used blue painters tape to wrap it around a post for the swingarm to rest on with very low friction. I just adjusted the masking tape to my preferred height. I now have a full swivel iPad mount. It's much better to swing both arms as I can move the swing arm towards the wall when I'm done. I also take off my iPad and only have the error, shaking my arm against the wall before bed While it's not ideal for mounting on a wall, you can do that and also take advantage of the swivel arm, which folds against the wall when not in use. Shipping was pretty quick too and I'm so glad I swapped out another cheap holder for a clip on one end and a flexible shaft to hold the tablet. This stand is a million times better. Update: 3 days later and I'm really enjoying using this stand for my iPad 9.7. This stand is very solid compared to my old flex which was like noodles after a few weeks of use. There is one thing I would recommend the seller to do to improve this booth. A flat rubber pad is attached to the clamps to cling to anything clamped. iPad, iPhone, Tablet, etc. What I would like to change is the design of this flat rubber clip-on pad. These flat ones sometimes drop my iPad on me as it slowly slides down. If the front of the rubber piece had an edge it would prevent a device from sliding. This happens when it is in a thin silicone case. I'll think of something to add to the clamps so my iPad doesn't fall on me sometimes. Update: There is great customer service! I had a small issue with my large clip not fully shutting down when swapping between iPad 9. 7 and iPad Pro 12.9 switched. I contacted customer service there and they took care of the problem right away. They send them a set of replacement clips and a really humble company to buy from. This stand is very solid and I don't know if there is anything better. I even remade the mines to allow the arm to rotate 360 degrees.
